318 Viscous Cooling Fan

The fan on my 318 feels a bit loose and spins for about 5 seconds before completely stopping when I shut the motor off. I have been wanting to upgrade to an MP viscous fan for a while.

The temp on the motor never reaches the half point of the gauge, as it has a new pump, thermostat and radiator. Are the Viscous (spelling) fans worth some power, or are they overrated with few benefits, especially for a warm, mild cammed, 4bbl 318 like mine? :scratch:

Over-rated if you ask me. I ran a junkyard 6blade clutch fan for a good while and it worked just fine. It may be a little loose, i would stick some sort of heat source in front of the clutch and see if it tightened up before i condemed the clutch.
