318 with nv 4500 5 speed from a 3/4 ton 99 truck

Will this transmission mate up to my 318? 1974 Duster with the original 318 I have a good deal on an nv 4500 I wanted to know if it would work

or... hear me out, run some 3.55's and have a burn out machine on tap with that super deep 1st gear and just start in 2nd the rest of the time! meanwhile, you still get to take advantage of the .73 OD

(i'm just kidding, the ratio split between 2nd and 3rd sucks too)

Yup, should bolt right up to your 318, but the modifications needed for the floor pan, trans mount, driveshaft etc. not worth the trouble, IMHO.
