Hey guys im looking for a set of mainfolds for my valiant w/360. im running the 273 manifolds right now cuz i dont have anything to use or headers. I have a early A body 66 valiant so i need a set that has the exit point on the drivers side exit towards the firewall. any help will be greatly appreciated.

The early a's had a very restrictive manifold on the drivers side that flattened out and curved around the steering column. I have seen people use the hi-po 340 manifolds but they had to cut the column shaft and add a bearing support to route around it.

ok ill have to look into that. im new to mopars so im still learning what fits and what doesnt. i have really restrictive 273 manifolds and im trying to trouble shoot some performance issues so instead of spending lots on headers ill just replace with stock and see how well the tuning process goes from there.

when I had them on my 318 the car ran ok but not great. After putting on headers it was like night and day.

Anybody tried to fit the late model magnums from the trucks on the early A bodies? From what I have read, they are as good as the good 340s. I helped a friend put a set on a 77 or so Ramcharger, but there was scads of room to work with there. We can pick them up at a very reasonable price here, have a set myself I am saving. Paid $100.

360 manifolds do not fit. my z-bars and other manual linkage get in the way. looks like ill be looking for fenderwell headers, leaving it alone or running no mufflers with 2 1/2 pipe right off the manifolds and out by the front tires.
