Just got my short block back from the shop. Long story short it's a 73 cast crank 340. I had the shop balance the new pistons/rod assemblies and original crank.
My question is, do I still need to use the original harmonic (cast crank)balancer and a torque converter for the cast crank set up, or can I use a fluid dampner and a converter from a forged crank trans set-up? I have most of these items on hand, just curious. Thanks for any input.

How was it balanced? Internally (added mallory) or external mopar balance.

You need to ask the shop that did it.

Hmmmm, I'll have to check with the shop. The receipt only states that the engine assembly was balanced. No clue as to weather internally or externally. Thanks.
