340 Engine To Transmission Support

I am in the middle of reassembling a 69 340 and 727 Automatic. So far, everything is going together well, except that I can only find 1 support bracket that goes from the block to the bottom of the transmission. It is on the drivers side. Is there supposed to be a bracket on the passenger side as well? The engine was disassembled when I got it, and lots of parts were in boxes.

I think there is just one. If not I wouldnt worry. They usually get thrown out.

Well some cars have both, you could get by without it, but most any junk yard you can snag on. Does add a bunch more support on the botton of the case to the block. Should be the same on any 318-360 too.

If the 727 is different than the 904 (I believe they are) then the easiest place to find smallblock/727 brackets are in trucks, Mopar trucks all had 727's if they had an auto.
