I'm wanting a complete 340 carb to oil pan. Does anyone have one they'll part with? Please, it must at least run. If it needs rebuilt thats fine. I don't want to start with junk. Give me a price and location.

I understand. I'm finishing up a 72 version 340 that'll have everything except the carb if that'll help. I'll be asking $2750 for it plus that shipping. It'll have an Edelbrock air gap intake on it and some chrome valve covers to shine it up.

i have a 1971 340 hp and a short shaft 4sp trans, it has an aluminum intake and no carb, this is a steel crank engine it came out of an original 1971 demon 3000.00 for the pair let me know if you are interested thanks
 
hey, i have the perfect engine for you. it was in perfect condition internally, but i pulled it apart to go over it, as it sat in the car for 7 years. all the bearings and rings could be reused, as they are perfect, but i did not want to put it together without replacing them. all it needs is a gasket kit, and new bearings. the crank is uncut, and the bores are 30 over with what were m.p 12 to 1 pistons, but i just had them milled down to about 10.2 to 1. it is a date code of 6/26/69. i will garuntee this engine in any/every way. it does have a huge cam, so you may want to step down some for a street car. i also have the j-heads on it with 2:05, 1:60 valves. i would just throw valve seals in them, as they also are ready to go.

on a side note, if you pay for gas, i will meet you half way. as i am not that far from you. i would take 1150.00 for it.

i am not getting rid of it for any other reason besides just the other night, a fellow member listed a 340 with 4- speed for sale, and i just got back from going to get it.

this is what i just picked up.........................

i have a 73 340 thats still in a truck and runs dont ask about the truck thing i bought it this way.lol. im in central pa.probably 7 hours from you.1200.00 o.b.o. close to that.its rare to find any running 340. my # is 570 658 4434 please no calls after 9;00 pm.if your interested call me.thanks,mike.
