Anyone have any general information on what to
keep an eye out for.

Opposite direction would be a better description. It wasn’t wrong in the duel engine boat.Same thing I have found. Like some deep well pump Hemis and such like that some of them even rotate the wrong direction
Oh Heck No! Counter Rotation on any dual! ( I worked at a Marina as a boat tech for a second)Opposite direction would be a better description. It wasn’t wrong in the duel engine boat.

If you've got two engines running in a boat you want one to go one way and one to go to the other, sorry bout thatI don’t understand
Ya that’s what I was saying. It’s not wrong in the boat.If you've got two engines running in a boat you want one to go one way and one to go to the other, sorry bout that
otherwise you'll just go around in circles!If you've got two engines running in a boat you want one to go one way and one to go to the other, sorry bout that
Lol, or you would have to hard steer the other direction, and creep along like a crippled jet ski, cuz she damn sure won't be using any gas to go forward! it'll all be going to keep you straight!otherwise you'll just go around in circles!

on a single engine, it doesn't matter much. Each OEM will have their reasons. On multi engine, you would want an even spread (Standard rotation and Counter rotation) if possibleI think Direct drive prop boats use reverse rotation. I don't think IO's do. (inboard/outboard)
@71GSSDemon wil know I bet.
Check out the dash and steering wheel. All Mopar.Mopar boats? These had 340's. Chrysler S-III Super Bee 1974 for sale for $10,000 Lot's of good photos.

Thanks, guess they have steel cranks good blocksMost industrial engines I have read about didn't make good street engines as they were built for relatively low rpm applications and for longevity. Perhaps they have a few good parts.
