340 motor mount brackets, what's the difference

I have 4 sets of small block motor mount brackets, I don't remember what was different between the 340 and 318?

If I may,would spool mounts from 318 work on a 360,if so what mods do one have too make them work.Thanks.

The drivers side mount ears on the 340 are about .40 inch narrower than the 273/318 mount. That gap can easily be accommodated with washers or a shim. The passenger side is different and does not catch all the ears on the 340 block but a triangle can be welded to the 273/318 mount to make them work for a 340/360.

You would have to use about 1/2" spacers on the bolts if you don't have the proper mount...
