I have a 1969 340 block for sale, along with the rods. Vin on the block shows 9b274476.
It has been decked, tubed, and fire ringed. I had it checked out by a local machine shop. They said it was already bored 30 over, but could use another 10 over to clean it up. They also said the main saddles on 2,3,and 4 are loose, a machine shop can fix that. The deck height is 9.6285, 9.62 is standard so it has not been decked too far, I am asking $800 for the block. It would be a good candidate for a high compression build. I also have a nice set of 340 X heads that have been checked and built already with new springs and stainless steel valves springs they can come with or without the 273 adjustable rocker arms. Asking $1500 with rocker arms or $1425 without. I can send the part numbers of the springs and valves if you are interested. I have a 340 forged crank for $170, it has been ground 10 over and may need some polishing, but looks good. I also have a small block "Rattler" harmonic balancer for $50. I think they are over 300 new. Location is close to KC, but can ship it through Fastenal at buyers expense. I possibly could meet closer to your location if it would help.
