I am planning a rebuild of a recently acquired 69 340. I plan on running a cam in the .533 range but no higher than.588..it will be a hydraulic cam and I will be using a 273 type adjustable rocker set=up..can you guhuru's here in mopardom suggest a valvespring/retainer that will work nicely without major head work? The heads are stock "X's" with some minor porting in the bowl area..suggestions..and most importantly PART #'S would be warmly rec"d and welcomed... many thanx....guys...in advance...:director:

Ummmmmm, what cam is it? What grinder/seller?

Whats wrong with there springs?

If it is a Comp cam, get Comp springs. MoPar cam, MoPar springs. They lined everything up for you so you won't have to. A few pounds increased in pressure may provided for a few more RPM's, but this type of gain is seen at the track and not the street.

If its a Hyd grind call Scott at Straightline. He has a single spring he recommends for hi lift Hyd.
