Hi just wondering if anyone has put a small block hemi in an a-body car. I have a 341 hemi that i plan to put in my 70 dart swinger. Ive put big blocks in a few a-body's but haven't tried a small block hemi before. Any tips would be helpful and apreciated.

The 341 is a DeSoto which has very little performance support. I would only install an early hemi in a car (any post 1960 car) if I just wanted that look. You can build more power cheaper and easier with a 360 or any big block, even a 340 will be cheaper to build. The 341 is also heavy.

I'd either build a street rod around it or sell it to a guy building a street rod. I got $1,750 for my old 325 Dodge. That went a long way toward paying for my Barracuda.

I was more or less going for the look not the performance. I have a 383 i bought that i might build for it i just thought the hemi would look neat setting under the hood.
