sounds good , for a street strip car , time ???

thats good ! i was thinking to break into the 12s ... but what can help me to win maybe a second ? and enter the 11s .. port the heads , bigger cam , bigger carburator or gear ratio ???

when will you take the car to the track? please post 60 foot 1/8 &1/4 ets & mph then maybe we can figure out how and where improvments can be gained
 
A set of slicks will help a lot. To get the most out of your motor you are going to want to be going through the traps in top gear at around the RPM it makes its peak HP. Should be around 6000 RPM. Ported heads and a bigger carb and more cam will be needed to run in the 11's I woud think. Get the car as light as you can. If you can live with out it get rid of it or lighten it if you can.

How much hp would it take to take it into the 11´s ? close to 500?
Assuming you got a good chassi set up.
 
i know someone who did 11.60 with a 430 hp 360 magnum in a 71 demon , no nitrous - no s-c , hes one of my inspirations !
 
with the right size slick around 28x10x15 you might see a 12.9. if you want to try for the 11's 750 pro form eldo. Air Gap, 4800 stall, 456 gears around a 31x10.5x15 slick to lawnch it hard, bigger cam .202 intake valves, 1.7/8 headers around 15 inch header extensions for the top end. Good Luck Gary
 
If you can get traction and you get your 60' times under 1.8 you might see high 12's that improve with tuning. If your 60' is higher than 1.8 your going to be in the 13's.

Put some slicks on it.
