I am looking at buying a flexplate that is for a 78-92 360. I have a 74 360.

My Mopar Performance book says that all flexplates are basically interchangeable.

But, if I use that flexplate I will need to get a 360 balanced (externally) convertor, correct?

If I want maximum interchangeability, I need to use the B&M and then I can basically run any aftermarket convertor for a 904, right?

I think I know the answers, but I do want to make sure so I don't get in a bad way.

Any advice?

Thank you for your help as always, ROB

You either run a converter that is weight balanced for the 360, or run the B&M flexplate and then run a converter without the weights installed. What year is your 904 tranny?

As long as it's a 67 or later you shouldn't have any problem. The older ones had a slightly different spline and required a different converter I believe. Get 'er done. :)

i have a b&m flex plate on my car just so i can swap any converter in there that i want and not worry about it being balanced bc the converter does all the work for me i love it
