I got my scamp about a week ago and fixed a few odds and ends and now its a good driver, but i feel its a bit hot, around 205. It has a 2 core radiator and flex fan, was wondering if a electric fan would help or hamper? Any thoughts would be great!

205 is fine. Are you running a 195 thermostat?

A fan change should only help if it's getting warm at idle or in stop and go traffic. If it's getting warm on the highway it's very doubtful that a fan change would do anything.

But, I would suggest a fan change anyway. Flex fans (in my opinion) are junk. Get a good clutch fan.

I would ditch the flex fan. They're cheap and can come apart, I've seen it. I would run the MP fan and viscous clutch. Do you have a shroud? If it's running 205 now, wait til it really gets hot out.

I run a 160 thermostat in my older cars. If I pull a longer hill and the temp rises a few degrees, I don't like my older cars to rise above 185. Heat kills performance too.

anywhere between 180 to 200 is fine to run. I wouldn't want to see more or less for max efficiency

205 is not running hot with a good pressure cap undo to popular belief .
