360 Head ID Question-Casting #

I have come across a set of heads that were on the same engine.

One is the common 4027596 head

The other is a 4071051 Head

What is the practical difference between these two heads?

Will it hurt to run them on the same engine?

I am considering using them in a performance application.

Both heads are listed as a '77 - '86 360 cylinder head so it could be that they are the original heads on the motor if it is the matching year block. Valve size is the same for both heads so I could not tell you the real difference between them. I would have to say they are very similar and would be fine to run.
