Most I've even seen you could put a 3/8" extension up inside it and just use a ratchet. Look inside of it. Some may use an allen wrench come to think of it but still look up inside of it.

take the gasket off the threaded tube, I can see the corners of the hex head peeking out above it. Deep socket over the tube and unscrew. There is a big gasket under the sheet metal plate, and I think a small one that goes over the threaded tube behind the sheet metal plate and the one that is on the threaded shaft on the outside of the sheet metal plate. When you reinstall the threaded shaft be sure you clean the female threads that go in the block and use sealer (all this is under pressure). Did I miss anything? A lot of a-bodies came with the 90 degree adapter for exhaust clearance and room to get a large (PH8A) sized oil filter in and out. This would be the time to change if you need it... pulling the engine to change the filter would be inconvenient.

Thank you All
I think you nailed it. Just need to order a gasket set. What does that torque to when it’s installed

happy thanksgiving

I got the same crap...Someone put an oil cooler on it and I can't go back to a normal filter without the threaded oil filter tube. Does anyone know how I can fix this so I can put a regular filer back on? I have headers. Appreciate the help, thanks

Thanks man. Yeah, I saw one @ mancini but shipping can be slow there. I did find something @ Ebay for under 50 bucks. Does it look correct? I never saw one before. Chrysler is not my normal thing.

Is your engine LA style or Magnum style?
The parts you show are LA style and they are not interchangeable.

Oh hey, thanks man...I didn't know that. I'm pretty sure it's an LA style - Doesn't the magnum style have a roller cam? - This motor has a flat tappet.
