Hi everyone in the USA !

I am building a '68 fastback Barracuda that I imported at Xmas time from California & r building a dirty, stinkin', stonking 10sec street car. I love my Mopars (And we have some awsome Aussie versions over here) especially the American Mopars ! I found a 383 HP block (69 casting) over here, standard bore in a mates back garage & was wondering if anyone has put together a 383 stroker & how it went ? In particular the 383/496 stroker kit available from 440 source ? Any info would be great ! Many thanks .

As far as I know, its a straight forward assembly if you get the pre balanced kit. You shouldn't have any problem with crank interference with the block. The oil pickup should be tight, but should go in ok. If you're using a 1/2" oil pickup you might have to play with it a little bit. I'm getting a 400 block-500 stroker done right now and have talked to Brandon at 440 source a few times. good luck.

I'm not partial to Brandon's balancing, and you need to be careful on the stroke and rod combo you order. The chevy pin size will save a lot of clearancing on the B wedges, but I think the piston starts to get a little short. Otehrwise, a great choice for parts.
