4-speed Hurst Shifter dissamble?

Hi, I need to re-chrome-plate the handle, and must empty this selector pin carrier.
I understand the spring´s are a bit tricky to get back ... Any tricks and advice on tools and how-tos here...

These videos are quit useful, but guys don´t dear to mess with the springs...
I have to ask the plating guy if handel can be plated while still in the carrier?
Anyone familiar with Chrome Plating?
