Picked this 4 speed up on Marketplace. Can someone help me ID it. Never saw one without an ID pad. Thanks

Well, I'm not a big "numbers" guy, but if that's an output flange hiding under the plastic bag on the tailshaft it's a '64-'65 transmission for sure.
I'm pretty sure anything pre-'67(?) doesn't have an I.D. pad.

According to the Chrysler A-833 Transmission book by Jamie Passon

Main Case 65 or early 66 307 bearing
Tail Housing 1971 and up A/F body 307 bearing
Side Cover 64-70 ball and detent style

That is like a Candy wrapper with a Big ? on it. Until you open it you'll never know whats inside. I had many frankenstein's come here and The mixed parts would have never worked long at all. I hope who ever put yours together knew what they were doing for the better, and not for deceit.

Like others have said, it's a mixed bag. Put together at some point. You can remove the cover, and that will tell the rest of the story.

Thanks for the help and responses. Going to pull the side cover and check it out.
