This is the type of universal joint Mopar used until early '65. They were called a "Detroit" universal joint.

It's pretty much you're only bolt-in choice, so yes. It will handle 450+ horsepower, especially if you're running street tires.

This trans has the flange for use with B&T (ball and trunnion) type joint. It is early a body.

Any good driveline shop can do a flanged slip joint ( 4 x 4 stuff) to match the end without having to use the diffacult to find B & T .
