Well I've managed to do it again... I put off buying a reproduction 4 speed trim ring (or plate) and now they have discontinued them. Honestly I was surprised they even had them, but they did and they looked very nice, especially for $65 each... Does anyone know of anywhere else you can buy one of these things... I don't want to pay to have it rechromed if I don't have to... Lesson learned for all, if someone reproduces a rare part, grab it while you can - you never know when the company will go under or stop making it due to lack of demand...

For a 64 or 65 A-body, try Mr. Gasket/Hurst to see what is in production. If they don't sell direct, they can at least give you part numbers you can order through Summit or a local speed shop. The 66 - early 68 A-body used the awful Inland shifter with a reverse lockout. The Inland lever was round where the Hurst shift levers were rectangular where they went through the boot. I have no idea where parts for the Inlands can be had. Good luck.

Thanks I will check with them... I forgot to say what year, it's a '65. Has a round Hurst shift handle from the factory like a B body. The boot is round but the decorative plate is almost a rectangle with a round hole for the boot... I'm not sure if any '66 models had them..

Cool! Greatly appreciated. Someone told me Layson's has reproductions of them but I haven't checked yet...

Year-One got them from Laysons but stopped selling them because Laysons was not reliable. Laysons still have them on their web site but they are like $95

Just be cautious when dealing with Laysons, they have great parts but their customer service has a lot to be desired. I personally had five separate issues with them so I will only use them if it is a last resort.

Blownfish, thanks for the heads up! Well at $95 that is another $30 more than Year One but my original is horrible so I guess it's worth it... I will drop a post on the quality of the trim ring once I get it. Thanks!
