[SOLD] 400 HP Big Block SAN Jose, CA. $299

In a recent parts deal, I ended up with this 1977HP 400 engine. Story goes the guy bought a charger that was stored away for over 20 years this engine was in it. After starting it up, he replaced a couple bent pushrods, and drove it for awhile. He decided he wanted original so he bought a correct date engine and swapped this one out two months ago. Said to have run nice, and looks like the top end was off for service/rebuilt. Pretty dencent motor and comes as you see it. Only flaw is a chip on the lower driver side ear is missing, but that won’t affext mounting as it was running that way for over 25 years anyway. Very clean in the engine galleys and no buildup anywhere. I also have some motor mount brackets for 1966-72 b/e/c/body I would sell with it for an extra $50. Located in San Jose/ Campbell, CA and will not ship. Local transport available, but you will need a hoist for removal.

Chip or broke off, got a better picture

Lower part is broke, most of the bolt hole is there, but not needed as the tow upper mounts are fine. I have putty fixed worse and held up fine (440 in my Cuda is going on 14 years now).

As you can see it below, small piece broke off, not the large, thick ones on top. Since it’s for sale locally and anyone has a real concern, I’ll show how to putty fix it and have the stuff to order it ($8 I’ll cover it) and has a psi rating of 900 if you don’t need to reinforce it. In my opinion, it is not needed.
