Been looking at 408 kits
Many available- also thinking about a Paxton blower for it at approx 8 lbs boost
The non forged kits are 1800 or so but I’m not sure that a cast or cast steel crank or hypereutetic pistons are going to cut it at 600 plus hp
A combination of personal experiences and opinions are welcome.

Then just do forged pistons, a cast crank will be fine with proper clearances, a good strong oil and not beating the “F” out of it.

Never been a fan of stroker "kits"....I would sooner pick and choose my components.

If my budget only allows import cranks I'd opt for a crank from Molnar and go from there. The difference is good machining and quality metalurgy...

That’s a damn good price for every thing forged the CR is also bump gas friendly The Hughes kit has hypereutetic pistons and a cast steel crank for the only 200 less
Thanks
Brooks

It's a 408 with a Scat kit from Hughes. Quality stuff.
