This is related to stock parts only (granted, B or E body parts), but there air-grabber and non-air grabber versions of the 440 6-pack air cleaner. What are the differences between the two? Does it change between body types?

Most importantly, does any particular 440 6-pack air cleaner sit lower than the rest? It's going in an A-body so I don't care if I need to modify it, I just wonder about hood clearance.

I could've sworn that I asked this awhile back, but couldn't find it in the searches.
Thank you!

All are the same height. Six pack Only came on 440's, not 383's.

Pic 1 Non fresh air B & E body has a metal piece standing up in front so you cannot see the filter. Keeps bugs and water out from the fan.

Pic 2 B body fresh air is same air cleaner without the metal in front so you can see the filter in the front.

The only E body fresh air air cleaner is a shaker, so it's enclosed.

The 1970 E body AAR and T/A six pack/6 barrel cars didn’t have shakers.

There he is, Scotty on the spot with the silly posts.

I purposely left out the $2500 air cleaners for the A body hotrod swap.

Would you mind sending me what you're referring to in a PM? Just curious. Thank you for clarifying above!
