Greetings everyone,
Installing a 440 into a 70 duster.
Will a normal 440 center sump oil pan be a problem in this install?

Any additional tips on this swap would be appreciated.
Already read the tech archives.

Thanks

Need a 187 or 699 oil pan. If you have one of those your good to go. Also don't forget to upgrade everything else such as suspension, trans, rear (if you have the 7 1/4 one) & brakes. It's nice to go fast but that doesn't mean anything if you can't slow down. Subframe connectors are a good idea too.

Also you will have to notch the K-frame on the drivers side motor mount. This will give you clearance for the oil pump. You may want to reinforce the mounting area a little more if you plan on racing the car. just so you know, You will not have good radiator to water pump clearance once the motor is in.
