On the hunt for a new OR used with matching lifters Mopar Performance .450/.455 Purpleshaft. Trying to replicate my grandpa's old hobby stock engine.

hydraulic?
Pn 4462761?
that cam is 268/272/110 and 228/231@050 and 450/455 lift
I think all the cam companies have a copy of that, and if not, then at least close to it, like 268/276/110 OR a 230/236@050
Or
the old 340 cam was
268/276/114 and 228/235@050, 429/444 lift

I guess it depends on your application

Yep hydraulic. I was talking to Jim at Racer Brown about having him make an exact copy of it because I pulled the original cam our of the engine, just was rusted. Figured I would see if someone had a NOS one before I had a copy made

I'd be interested to run that on the street with 1.6 arms. I think I could get 30 mpgs with a thermoquad, and a manual trans geared 65=1600 in double overdrive...... lol
If I didn't already have a cam like that I'd beg it.

I ran it for years in my 340 Barracuda. Not terribly impressed. Just with a Wieand Action Plus, Holley 1850 and stock AVS carb, hipo manifolds, stock converter, original “advertised 10:1” pistons, 3.23 gears. All highway got about 14-16 mpg out of it going across country
