Factory 400 block, stock or aftermarket crank.

So, how many of you here have made 700+ horsepower with your 451 and pushed the crank out the bottom of the block?

How many have made over 700 horsepower with the 451 and never lost the crank (broken the block).

i would love to hear this as well... give us use some of your tricks IQ52 i have your em build saved ...i hope that my little 451 live ...mike:D:D:D

I had a 470" built , 714HP where it was stopped testing , HP peak was higher.
Alum main caps and hard filled up to the bottom of the freeze plug holes .

johnrr how did it run ??? and did it last??? just asking so i know what to look for..thanks:glasses7: mike

It was a dyno mule , about 85 pulls , the last 15-20 were over 700 , made over 600lb/ft of torque. I sold the block because it wasn't a good street motor to me with the hardfill , last I knew it was still running at 511" , but the block was prepped for it .

It had an eagle crank and that is going into my current stroker project , but that will be less HP .

come on IQ52 give up some of the good stuff...lolhow bout a good combo on a street motor low deck 400 with 906 heads and a good solid cam what do you rec. going in to a abody with some nos
