489 cased 4:10 sure grip chunk

have a set of 4:10 gears in a 489 case for sale. unit is in good useable condition. read to clean,paint then install

Cone or Spring??? A cone unit shows springs inside looking through the 'window'....a clutch plate unit will not because it has no springs. The cone type, or Borg Warner unit has 4 springs in it.

guys. i need help figuring out what gear it is. i do see 4 springs in it. but the big ring gear is a richmond and 412e is incribed where you would normally see the ratio. i spun pinion a little more than 4 times around.

so i gather it is a rebuilt 489 chunk with richmond 4:12 gears in it

BECAUSE I WAS NOT TOTALLY CORRECT ABOUT THE WHAT GEARING IT WAS, I AM WILLING TO LET IT GO FOR 375.00

count the number of ring gear teeth.Count the number of pinion gear teeth..Divide.

it has 10 on the pinion, and 43 on the ring
