4spd frame bracket location

Has any one welded in a torque shaft/z bar bracket? If so how does it go and is a mig welder enough for this. Pictures if possible thanks

You line it up with the existing hole in the inner fender. Then plug weld the remaining two holes. I’ll find a pic and yes a mig will get it done

Yeah most any mig welder should work fine. Put the ball stud through the hole and throw the nut on to keep it aligned while welding.

Beat me to it. Install the ball stud and it will hold it in place while you weld the two remaining holes. Turn the plate to get the max weld to the frame rail on both holes.
