5.0 kickdown lever?

Has anybody installed one of these?

Is it a internal or external install.

Was it worth it?

Any comments appreciated.

I have one in my 904. Internal install. It gives you nice crisp downshifts when you mash the gas. I love mine.

You have to remove the trans. to install it. Just replacing the lever itself does very little for shift quality. In some rare cases it can cause shift overlap which is detrimental to the shift.

You don't need to remove the trans in most cases. You can get to the pivot pin plug inside the bellhousing with a ratchet and extension. If you don't know where it is though you could be in for a time. lol
