Ok so I’ve built a 408. It is INTERNALLY balanced. It’s going in a 2001 Ram 2500 with a NV4500 trans. I have a NEUTRAL balancer. The question here, is there any difference other than the balance between the 5.2 flywheel and 5.9 flywheel? And if there is a difference can the 5.9 flywheel be balanced to neutral? It sure would be easy to just buy a 5.2 flywheel.

I bet too. So I called southbend and told them my situation,and they bet the same way. I also called a local machine shop and they said if the motor is internally balanced the 5.9 f/w could be balanced neutral.
