ok i have a couple of questions for those of you who have expierence with the 5.9 magnum motor. i have a 5.9 98 jeep motor thats going into my 76 duster. the car has been lightened so it will not be that heavy hopefully 3200-3300 lbs. i also plan on putting full caltracs suspension. car has a drag radial. for the rear end i have 4.10 gears. the motor is all stock with headers, an edelbrock intake, 650 carb, and 125 shot of n20. the trans is a 904. My first question is what convertor would you put with this combo. the car will be driven daily but i also want it to leave hard. my next question is should i swap out the 5.9 stock cam for a stock 318 magnum cam because i heard they are better but not sure. would the benefit be there or should i just buy a better cam. Anyone have any expiernece with this? thanks :DusterWork:

You need to get a converter that will work with the whole combo, i don't think you'll be happy with a "stocker" cam, not even the 318 magnums, i just did this swap in my 71 swinger, it runs quit well, just need to get it too hook.
