Will the wiring do the factory tranny?

It works independently of the transmission. All it needs is the neutral safety switch to be plugged in, or grounded.

Most guys I built these for over the years were using the 904 or 727 transmissions. If you want to use a 500/518, you'd just have to wire up an overdrive switch to it.
