is it possible. where would i find clutch pedals. how much of my floor would i need to hack out and has it been done. 318 small block i got is pushing 310+ horses. i need a trans that will hold. i may be able to get a 4 speed for a slanty pretty cheap but i still need a bell housing the clutch pedal assembly the flutch fork throwout flywheel clutch and all the goodies. anyone like to throw out a price range on either of those ideas???

Here is the cut floor for the floor hump. Shift rods 1-2 and 3-4 go over the trans x-member and Rev goes under the trans x-member. You need that much clearance for the 1-2 and 3-4 rods.

Lay the hump on the tunnel, it basically centers itself close to where it should be. Get a marker and outline the perimeter of the hump on the floor and measure approx. 1.5" inward and mark that area. Start cutting the floor on the 1.5" mark and be careful NOT to cut thru the floor support.

check out the t5 trans swap thread in the 4 speed section....no hacking of the floor, you get a fifth gear for great highway cruising, can be used with either hydraulic setup, cable, or mechanical and it should hold up to the power of your 318 just fine...definatly something i would check out if i was you
