5 speed swap

What all would I have to do to put a 5 speed out of a dakota into a 73 duster.

I can either get a 4 speed out of a duster or the 5 speed which would be better.

Yes it is. But I was talking about the one you could get after 1974

If your planning any real power, find something other than the dakota trans. The ax-15 barely will hold up to a 3.9 v6 and the NV3500 is only rated at 300ft/lbs. Not to mention the NV might be a PIA with its integrated bellhousing (like a 727) in the confines of a duster.
