hi, I am looking at swapping a magnum into my /6 valiant and noticed that the schumacher mounts have been sold out for quite some time. Is my only option now to swap out the k member? what has everyone else done? TIA

The 340/360 fitment listed is the same as a Magnum.
You will also need an LA 360 passenger car oil pan, pickup tube, and dipstick assembly.
See above- I edited my post.Thank you!
I did some digging and found it since i was criticized for not looking hard enough in a previous thread.See above- I edited my post.
MOTECH isn't producing CHIT yet. I got the obligatory "we'll be producing those mounts as time permits" crappola when I CALLED them at the first of the year.Per the homepage at Schumacher Creative Services

Aren't there some slight differences in the LA and Magnum mounts? Something just sticks out in my mind there....like maybe the 318 and 340 360 stuff....like maybe you need a spacer or some such? Nothing to overcome really...but something just kinda sticks out about it. Maybe I'm mistaken. At any rate, it's still almost if not a completely bolt in swap. Here ya go.

Edit: Oops, I accidentally linked the B/RB mounts. Changed it to the correct link.
The Magnums and 340/360s are the same, the usual "slightly different" from 273/318.Aren't there some slight differences in the LA and Magnum mounts? That might be it. I could be just havin a stupid moment. I get lots of those. The Magnums and 340/360s are the same, the usual "slightly different" from 273/318.
Maybe you're thinking of the additional mount bosses that the Magnums have at the middle of the block; but the "ears" are standard 340/360.

Way to help a fellow member.
lolForgive me, father for I have committed thy cardinal sin of losing my patience with people that don't bother to search a godamned thing, don't provide an ounce of info as to what they even own, and can't be bothered to do any research with the perfectly reasonable answers thus provided.
I promise I'll do 15 donuts in a Circle K parking lot and not say anything snarky the next time rusty rat rod loses his patience or says something snide to another member.
Yes, I believe its Doug's that need one lug of the mid mounts ground down. Not a major deal, just one of those things that can surprise you. Good catch.@EvanS When you get the mounts squared away, and if you're gonna use headers instead of exhaust manifolds....you may have to grind one of the mid mount engine mount bosses to clear a header tube on the drivers side. That may be dependent on the brand of headers you use. Just wanted to throw it out there so you wouldn't be surprised.
Every one I have seen from early '90s to early 2000s have had both sets of mounts, although I have never seen a factory application that used the LA style mounts- they have all used the mid-block mounts. The only reasoning that occurs to me is that with the early Magnums (where the blocks were still being drilled for rocker oiling) they may have wanted a "universal" replacement/warrantee block... and never bothered changing the tooling after that. Pure speculation on my part, never saw any published reasoning behind it.I used the mounts off my 360 on my '99 magnum, with a V8 k frame. Do all magnums have both the truck and passcar mounts?
Yes I searched before posting this.
I didn't search this particular topic I'm asking about, but I did find a February '92 copy of Genesis adult reading material for sale online.
Yeah I bought it
