Hello all. Looking for info on the spring steel clip that holds the tailgate handle in the "closed" position. Clip is supposed to be U shaped. Mine has one leg broken off so it is L shaped and consequently doesn't hold the crank handle on place. Looks like thr clip is riveted into the handle housing. Wondering if the clips are available anywhere and then I could blind rivet (like a pop rivet) it into place. Photo shows pen pointing at my broken clip. I think the only other option is to buy a NOS entire handle, which are available on NOS sites and ebay.

I have a used handle if you want to try and remove it and try to remount it on yours. Let me know.
