I have seen the RoadKill Garage guys, get one running that had been sitting 20 or so years, and run 4 fuel filters in row!! I forget whether in front or behind the fuel pump, but they never clean the gas tank either!!!! :poke: :BangHead::poke::poke::poke:

depressed, found out what the problem is with my engine supports. I didn't have the brackets and found some on Ebay quite a while ago. The ones I bought are from a '72 Plymouth valiant. So I need to find at least the drivers side bracket, the picture in the pretty red is the mount I need I believe. Little did I realize a while back on the nasty old original engine, there were a amazing amount of parts that I could have kept, including the engine supports:( I'll put out a wanted listing when we get back after next week~ and that depresses me too.
:realcrazy:

We've all been there....done that with stuff, so don't feel like The Lone Ranger. You won't have any trouble finding some brackets. Somebody here will have some. Most people yank a slant out of an early A and stick a small block in them, so somebody's got one laying in the corner with the right brackets. The ones that I have laying around from my /6 science project are the same as what you have or I'd already be askin for a shipping address...lol. Hang in there and just thing about how good a turkey sammich is gonna be next Friday or Saturday. :)

Early-A's have the engine set farther forward by over an inch than the '67 & up generation, which is one reason they require their own headers.....I made My DC/MP 6-into-1 headers fit My '64 GT Cpe., but it wasn't pretty, basically I'll need to cut & re-tube some sections to make it 'right'. The other reason is the Early-A's front frame rails are ~2.5" closer together, so You lose ~1&1/4" per side for clearance. Steering box & pitman arm/tie-rods are full-into the later A header tubes. I am however, plotting to move Mine back about an inch, it will require a firewall mod behind the cyl. head, & tunnel mod at the starter unless I find the mini works better there.
I may employ the later bracket w/the thick early biscuit, but the K-member has a lot of room to slot/move the mount holes fore & aft. I should have at least 2 extra Early Dr. Side brackets, I'll check in the AM,....well, later AM,.....

I'm the world's worst about chunkin stuff and realizin I need it later. I'm to the point now I hole onto anything that's not slam rusted to death or tore all to hell up.

I was worried that there weren't any more of them left in the world~ suddenly two pop up! ;) I'll be back in a few hours, we're heading to the Renaissance festival, we're only good for a few hours at it;)

I have not done the engine stuff yet just e mail me a list and I will see what I have. You are in the right place with this site.

I finally sold my 62 Lancer a couple months ago. Since I can not usually give away slant stuff, I gave him most all the extra slant hard part stuff I could find. Sorry!
