63 Valiant Value?

Welcome to the board. That's not nearly enough information to even begin answering your question. "Mint condition" means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, for one.

Pictures (lots of them) are a must if you want an accurate answer. Welcome to the board.

Only what someone is willing to pay.BUT I will tell you that I had about a 18 month wait when selling mine.It wasn't "mint" but a very nice car.170, auto, power disc brake conversion,Big bolt 7 1/4 rear. All new front ball joints and bushings front and rear. New radiator.New drive shaft.Original paint. No rust,It did need rugs and the front seat redone.Back seat still had the dealer installed clear plastic seat cover.Sold it with a new weatherstrip kit and a NOS grille.I was asking $6000. Best offer was $3800. I let it go as I had other projects waiting.Just a thought...

I don't know what it's worth to somebody else, but even though I grew up with a 63 Valiant in the family, four door is not even worth $1,000 to me. Mint Condition 4 door to somebody else might be $3,000, but it all depends on what mint is. How many miles is on this mint car?

since the 80's I see trends. wasn't that many years back, ( example) a 318 69 charger was a parts car to 99% of people. now ,look what people will pay for one! then came the clones'. as prices and supply of ( example: 69 charger). goes up and up, people look to other models they would enjoy, say.... 340 70 dusters. as same supply and price effect hit those, people looked to dropping a built 360 into a 72 scamp, lets say. and so it goes.
look at the station wagon. they are becoming more and more desirable. I see the 4 door cars starting to have an audience. BUT you ask whats it worth!? ha
to some people a perfect 4 door isn't worth $1000. to others more, but how much??
lets say IF you could buy a 67-72 a body with a v8 in the same condition as said 4 door, ask yourself if your trying to sell ( or buy) that 4 door, how much more does it take to own said 2 door car???? forget what someone has "spent" on any of these cars. not a factor.

Appears the OP doesn't care enough to even answer, so I am guessing an inherited car they know little about. A mint car in MN would probably not be considered that in CA/AZ. I would guess $500 max if the floors have the typical rust-thrus and $200 if the chrome and aluminum is pitted.

Wow! That is a $7K - $10K asking price up here. I am in the market for a inexpensive 63-65 Valiant. Can't find anything here in Quebec.

Kmrumedy,
Consider buying one as part of a Southern California vacation and drive it home. Would be a 4 day drive, but better than spending 6 months repairing rust-thrus on a northern car plus worrying about the inner rust you can't get at, or you could ship for ~$1000. Downside is that 63-65 Valiants are becoming rare in CA/AZ, especially 2 doors, and Disney tickets are now $115/adult after July 1.

Tru dat !^^^^^^.Keep a eye on Craigs List for any of the dry desert states. I paid $1800 for this one from Las Vegas C.L..ZERO rust, ran and drove. Like a *** I sold it when it was re-vamped.

Put it on Ebay and find out.

Thanks Bill. :). Actually have almost bought several cars from CA. Couldn't pull trigger due to shipping costs which were $2800-$3500 to Montreal. That doesn't include custom and taxes. I did buy a car from Oregon shipping was $2800 and I bought my current 64 Valiant from West Virginia. Shipping was $1500 and totalled $2400 with taxes and customs. A little hard to swallow but on cars of higher value not so bad. But paying more in shipping and taxes than the cost of the car just doesn't make sense. I wish I could get an AZ car. Spotless and inexpensive. You guys are so lucky in the states.

buy a southwest car, pay the guy to drive his "drive anywhere" car up and then fly him home. Nice 63 4door here, about 1.5-2K. Not many admirers any more.
