Don't know if this helps, but original speakers can be re-coned and look very original. I did mine and preserved the factory part # printed on the frame.

I have one. It'a not a factory Chrysler speaker, but it's an older one in very good condition with the A body bracket screwed to it that came out of my 64.

Who did the work for you and what did it cost?

I seem to have lost contact with my re-coner. He was in L.A.. Cost was under $100. Was in contact with him at the time and was specific with him about not refinishing the frame to preserve the printed part numbers on it. He did a great job, it was beautiful. You will need to search re-coning, they are all over the country. The problem will be to find one that has the proper size parts for what you need. Not all will be able to do your size.

Yeah, I kind of struck out trying to find some with the correct parts to do it and actually wanting to do it. I ended up getting a new speaker from S&M Electro Tech in Blaine MN. I figure nobody is going to see the speaker anyway, so, if it looks slightly different......so what. It's supposed to be a better speaker and it costs less than having the old one re-coned from what I can deduce.
