64 Dar GT Convertible Towing Capacity

Hi All: Looking to purchase a 64 Dart GT Convertible with a 222 slant 6 and push button auto. Does anyone know the Towing Capacity? I don't want to tow a ton, but 2,000-3,000 lbs would be nice. Could not find this info on the net. Thanks for allowing me to join. Woody of Woody's Classic Cars

I would consider subframing it, before you do that. I used to haul a bunch more than that with my 67 vert, without the subframe, and it did cause a few ripples.

The extra tongue weight may cause the center section of the car to bend more.

also, it goes without saying, attach the hitch to the rear subframe.
