I am having no luck finding motor mounts at the local parts stores for a 64 valiant slant 6. Anybody know if they are still available?

You might check at http://www.polybushings.com 541-266-0890. A group buy for the early A mounts was organized over at .org at a pretty reasonable price. They may be able to help you. Also have the poly bushings for the 73-79 slants as well plus transmission mounts. Hope this helps. I bought 2 sets for the early As myself.

What years interchage with the 64?

'62-'66 A-body slant-6 only -- that's the interchange. You can still get compressed-cow-poo ones from India, but you're much better off getting the Polybushings ones; you will never need to change them again.
