Did the 64 and 65 Valiant and Barracuda ever have some sort of lighting that illuminated the knobs that control the heater and defrost? That area is pretty dark at night. I'm thinking of adding a section of yellow LED strip lighting to the under side of the dash, just above the heater controls. My worry is I'll get something too damned bright. All I want is something "just enough" to illuminate the controls.

My 64 Barracuda did not,it is hard to see at night.
I fixed that.

The "model A" of more modern era. Only thing missing is the fold out windshield LOL

I have a 12v yellow led strip light coming. Is there a resistor I can wire in that will dim them if they're too bright?

Some LED's don't do well trying to dim them. All you can do is see if you can find info on the product, and "jig" it up and try it

You have a variable power supply? You need to try it from say, 11.5 to say, 16V to be sure it will not screw up

Care to share what you did?
Leds along the under side of the dash.

I do not, but I found an led "dimmer knob" on Amazon. Cheap. I may try that.
