Where can I get a good windshield seal for a 65 Valiant and a 66 Dodge Dart without spending a lot of money? I had one I was going to use, but I found out it got ripped. It is 50 years old. Is it the same windshield and seal for the two cars?

Detroit Muscle Technologies
Their gasket comes with the necessary lock strip.

Yes, it's the same for both of those cars. Donno who these "Just Mopar" people are; never heard of them. You can get good or cheap, not both at the same time. See here.

Back In Time. Yes it did. It was an ad for the site and not a personal opinion of the deal used in your own car. I did not put the "thanks" there. Apparently you did. I went to the site and it is $95 plus shipping, which is typical to other new seals out there. Maybe it is good, maybe it isn't.

You didn't ask for a personal experience in the original post. I gave you a source and thought it would help to just make it a link. I've given this link out several times and never been told it looked like an ad..One of the Mods put the thanks on there...why would I thank my own post ? Screw it.. Im outta here.If you think your going to get one a bunch cheaper try J.C. Whitney(get your own link)

My second post asked for more info. Thank you for what you offered. No need to get upset.

After looking around at several places and then talking to people on the phone, I went with Detroit Muscle Technologies both for their price and free shipping, and for the friendliness of their staff. Hopefully he was telling me the truth when I was told they've had no complaints on their windshield gaskets. Time will tell.

They (DMT) have a very good reputation for the body gaskets they make themselves—here's hoping they wisely chose their windshield gaskets for resale.

Just putting it out there as a source mr expert
I did that also but someone slammed the vendor I mentioned. That's why I removed my post and his comment. This thread can be informative without turning into a "slam Laysons" thread!

Really ? He asked for a source and I thought I'd help by giving a link.I've just about had it with all the BS on this site.
That's a courteous thing to do. I often give links along with my recommendations. Nothing wrong with that.

I guess this time the problem was caused by the board's "smart" parsing of links. Instead of just showing the actual URL or whatever display text is entered, the board "helpfully" finds whatever tag line the linked site's owner has put in place. That caused an innocently-posted link to display as "Your number-one source blahbitty blah blah blah advertising promoting hyping blah blah".

Sort of reminds me of a fair amount of crap I didn't ask for and don't want on modern cars, which are programmed to be absolutely 200% sure they "know" what I want so they put the blower on maximum speed when I put on the defogger, lock the doors when I shift into Drive, etc.
