65 Barracuda Horn Button Question

Hi all, I acquired a 65 barracuda sport wheel (3 spoke wood grain) and wondered how the horn button goes on the wheel
Is there a retainer ring that holds the steering wheel to the button?
It seems like a piece is missing...thanks all

There is a cast piece that screws down and the horn button locks on that.
