I am posting for a friend that is not comfortable with computers. He owns a 65 cuda and is having trouble with the brakes. He used to own a service manual that described a setting/adjustment for a rod that extended from the booster into the master. Does anyone happen to know what the service manual describes as the required adjustment/setting or can look that up for him?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

from my service manual for the master cylinder push rod adjustment

1) with the piston assembly free in the cylinder and firmly seated in the released position, hold the push rod seated against the reaction disc and centered in the spring of the cylinder.

2.)adjust the self-locking screw so that the head of the screw is 0.938 to 0.943 inch from the face of the vacuum cylinder.Fabricate a gauge if necessary to obtain the correct adjustment.

Hope this helps

Thanks FF. That is very similar to what he recalled seeing before the manual was lost. The owner is a 79 year old gentleman that still does his own wrenching but is not a friend of the internet!
Appreciate the help.
