Is an 8 3/4 rear from a '65 Coronet the same width as the rear in a "65 Dart?

If you have one the 62, 63 and 64 B Body guys are always looking for them to replaced their 8 & 3/4s with the brake drums that are removed with that special pulle.r

Back when my '66 Dart was in its original '66 race trim, I had a '65 Coronet 8.75 under it with a 742 case, and 4.86 gears. The perches were not moved at all, the shackles were bent so they were offset. Bent in a vise with a torch and hammer. I still have the entire setup.

Man, I guess I should have known what I was talking about before I said NO.
You were right. The '65 Coronet rear is wider. Flange to flange the B-body rear is 55". The A-body rear is 51.5". From spring perch to spring perch center the B-body is 44" and the A-body is 43".
