You might consider stretching the front wheel well openings also. I can now run a 28" tall front tire.

Nice work. Looks great. I will keep that in mind when I get to that point.
 
Those cars are very nice to have. I miss the 66 I had, it went to Wisconsin a few years ago.

Yea! I have a 74 New Yorker with a 440 and 727. I'll put that in probably with thin head gaskets and a moderate cam just to get the car racing. Then hopefully save up to build it into a stroker with aluminum heads, not sure which ones yet. Thinking about running E85 fuel when finished with the serious build.
 
Good luck with the project. What do you plan for a driveline and chassis?

Keep a good pix log, I'm interested in how this car turns out! "Fat tire", cage and a small block will make this car "roll" into the 10's! Use a 904 trans if you intend on keeping the original trans tunnel. The carbon fiber shield "just" fits. If you remove the tunnel a glide is suggested!... I like the 904 w/low gear set & 5500 stall!

Thanks guys. I'm going to back half it with four link probably for 33x15's and aluminum floor. An area guy that used to race an early Valiant, has a pinto front he wants to sell me, but I have not looked at it yet, so pretty much a chassis car. I pulled the 440 and 727 out of my 74 New Yorker Monday, and hope to stroke it and run aluminum heads, probably 440 Source but not sure yet. Picked up a Ford 9" Friday. I'm selling other stuff I don't need anymore (toys) and a 66 Coronet to fund most of this, so it depends on how fast they sell. I like the 6" move gregsdart, and Rob, your pic has been my pc's wallpaper for a month now. What size tires are you guys running?
 
Making some progress, all be it slow. Starting to take measurements, and hope to order rear frame rails in two weeks.

Not much. I did buy a rust free drivers door from a fellow member. I may be buying a better fender this week. Gathering parts right now....and money.
