Hey guys! I finally got around to tearing into my '66 Barracuda formula S windows last weekend. Found out that my drivers rear 1/4 window regulator had the cross arm broken in half. That explains why it wouldn't work!
Question: Which year car regulators will work for me? I'm assuming only A-bodies but anything other than the barracuda? I know the '66 is an odd-ball year car. I'll try to get some pictures posted of the regulator soon if that'll help.
One more quickie, I got into the front windows to lube the window tracks since they needed waaay too much effort to roll up/down. Got them both like butter now with some grease and a little oil in the regulator/crank.
My passenger window is nice and solid, no wiggles or wobbles. The drivers door is not. It is pretty darn floppy and when rolled up I was playing around with it trying to see what was going on. It seems the bolt/pin/rivet that hooks the metal that cups the window and attaches to the regulator arm was loose. I tried playing around with the adjustments of the window tracks but that didnt make any difference.
Any ways to tighten things up? I bugs me that the drivers window is so loose and it doesn't seal tight against the rear 1/4.
Thanks!!
Oh and update: the Mopar electronic ignition is working great! Got it set up 12* advanced and shes running really nice. Did about a 500 mile road trip for memorial day weekend. Man I love this car! Now that my Carter strip kit and eddy air fuel gauge is here its time to fine tune that carb
