Hi guys,
We have a 66 Barracuda strip only car that is a former stock/super stock car. We run super stock springs with the 3/4 inch move in kit, 8 3/4 rear, Hoosier 9 inch slicks on 7 inch centerlines. We had been using air shocks to bring the rear up but have learned that this is not a good/safe idea so we took the rear out and had the springs "re-strung." We have a pair of Comp engineering 3 way adjustable shocks and put it all back together. Well, now the car is sitting with the rear lower than the front and the slicks are hitting the outer wheel well lip. We probably need to get the rear of the car up 2 - 2.5 inches to get proper ride height and tire clearance. Any suggestions or thoughts? Thanks in advance!
P.S. When we jack the car up and then set it back down the height of the rear varies from about 26" down to about 24" once the car is wiggled to simulate driving; could this be due to the shocks having to decompress?
